About the exhibition

Fold features seven multidisciplinary pieces in a collective exploration of the not-quite-there. What is hidden by the end of a canvas, a turned head, a blurry image, a loose and fragmented form? What longing is born of obscuration or absence?

History is veiled in this sense of amorphousness. Modernity rejects abstraction—the not-knowing—creating falsehoods fueled by power and supremacy. What happens if you sit with the mystery? Here is entryway to the allure of the unknown.

À propos de l’exposition

Fold présente sept œuvres pluridisciplinaires dans une exploration collective du « pas tout à fait là ». Que cache l’extrémité d’une toile, une tête tournée, une image floue, une forme fragmentée ? Quel désir naît de l’obscurité ou de l’absence ?

L’histoire est voilée par ce sentiment d’amorphisme. La modernité rejette l’abstraction et crée des mensonges alimentés par le pouvoir et la suprématie. Que se passe-t-il si l’on s’assoit avec le mystère ? Voici la porte d’entrée vers l’attrait de l’inconnu.
